Easy net-surfing with Chinese domain name

China, China Electronic News, 23 May 2000 -- America's i-DNS announced yesterday the launch of "internationalised multilingual domain name" registration service in China. The "internationalised multilingual web addresses" registered by i-DNS is a top international domain name and this is the first time that such technology is launched in China. This will not only substantially resolve the bottleneck situation of log on language faced by net users worldwide, it will also pave the way for various enterprises in our country to set up websites in year 2000, which has been designated China "Enterprise Web Year".

It is reported that America's i-DNS has currently completed the interactivity and connectivity for 55 non-English web addresses, covering 90% of the non-English population. The company has set up agencies in Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, India, America and Singapore etc. i-DNS has also entered into a technical co-operation contract with Guangdong Tai Xin Computer Network Technology Company Limited in China.

The use of the "internationalised multilingual domain name" registration service will allow as many as 68% of the global non-English population to familiarise themselves with the use of net resources and facilitate the mastery of net surfing techniques. Finally, the net is able to flex its muscles in places where English is not commonly in use.
