Modifying DNS hint file

Step 1: Download i-DNS db.cache

Step 2: Replace your DNS hint file
Replace your DNS hint file with the one you have just downloaded.

The default location and the name of your hint file depends on the type of UNIX you are using.

On Linux, the hint file is db.cache its usually located at /var/named/ On BSD, the hint file is named.root and the default location is /etc/namedb/

Please refer to your DNS configuration file for the file name of your hint file.

Step 3: Restart your name server
