Hong Kong, China Daily, 9 October 2000 -- China's first international peak domain name registration operator, www.china-channel.com, signed co-operative agreements with US-based i-DNS.net International Inc. and i-EMAIL.net International Inc. last Tuesday in Beijing, which enables the website to have the technologies of multi-language domain and e-mail addresses from the two companies. As a result, Xiamen-based OnlineNC Inc, operator of the website, has become the first Chinese mandarin domain name registration operator in the world. "Mandarin-based domain names and e-mail addresses will wipe out the language barrier for most Chinese Internet users and will contribute substantially to the development of the Internet in China," said Gong Shaohui, chairman of the website.
